Indoor bounce house rentals on Long Island

A big room. A bright bounce house. A birthday with room for the fun. If your venue has a 15-foot ceiling, let’s start with the right measurements and find out which setup may work.

Measure the usable space, not just the ceiling

A room advertised as 15 feet high may have beams, lights, fans or sprinklers lower than that. Ask the venue for the lowest usable overhead clearance across the full proposed setup area. Do not climb or work near fixtures to measure it yourself.

Then compare the exact inflatable’s inflated height, width and length, plus all manufacturer-required operating clearances. Floor space also needs to accommodate the entrance, blower and approved setup, with guest routes kept clear. A room’s square footage alone cannot tell you whether the layout works.

Above the setup

Lowest measured clearance: ____
Beams, lights, fans and sprinklers: ____
Venue-confirmed photos or drawing: ____

Around the setup

Usable floor width and length: ____
Doors, turns, stairs or elevator: ____
Exit and guest circulation routes: ____

Get the venue’s written yes for the exact plan

Before confirming an indoor inflatable, obtain written venue permission for the specific unit and proposed setup. A room rental or a general “we allow parties” answer is not the same as approval for an inflatable.

  • Share the proposed unit, layout and operating clearances.
  • Confirm access, floor protection, available setup time and collection arrangements.
  • Have EZ Bounce review power and the manufacturer-permitted anchoring or ballast method with the venue. Indoors does not remove anchoring requirements.
  • Keep exits, egress routes and equipment access clear. Ask the venue to identify any additional conditions or documents it requires.

The unit’s instructions matter. CPSC guidance directs commercial inflatable operators to follow the owner/operator manual, including overhead objects and anchoring for indoor as well as outdoor use. The actual plan needs venue and EZ Bounce review; this guide is not setup approval.

Read the CPSC inflatable guidance.

Make the whole room work for the celebration

Give the inflatable its own reviewed space, then plan food, cake, shoes and caregiver seating around the remaining usable room. Avoid putting a queue through the catering or entrance route. Share the guest ages and planned activities so EZ Bounce can discuss the appropriate unit and operating arrangements.

For a winter birthday, school celebration or community-room party, separate the venue-access time from guest arrival. Allow for the agreed setup, checks, operation and removal rather than squeezing everything into the guest-facing party slot. If the first unit does not suit the room, ask about the current catalog before committing to a different layout.

Planning in Hicksville, Westbury, Garden City or Great Neck? The same room-first conversation applies. A town page is a local planning starting point, not confirmation that a particular indoor venue or date is available.

Indoor party questions

Does a 15-foot ceiling mean every bounce house will fit?

No. A 15-foot ceiling is a starting measurement, not approval for every inflatable. EZ Bounce must review the exact unit’s inflated height, width and length, manufacturer-required operating clearances and the lowest overhead obstructions at the proposed venue.

What measurements should I send EZ Bounce?

Send the lowest usable overhead clearance across the proposed setup area, clear floor width and length, photos of beams, lights, sprinklers and other fixtures, and the delivery route’s doors, turns, stairs or elevator. Ask the venue to confirm measurements you cannot safely obtain.

Do I need permission from the indoor venue?

Yes. Obtain written venue permission for the exact inflatable and proposed setup. Review floor protection, power, access, anchoring or ballast, exits, setup and removal times with the venue and EZ Bounce before confirming the plan.

Can I ask about an inflatable before choosing my venue?

Yes. Share your date options, town, guest mix and any room information you have. Start the fit discussion early; the inquiry does not reserve a unit or confirm the venue, date, final setup or price.
